Decades of experience. One point of accountability.

What four decades of experience actually means.

Zerick is a technology infrastructure company headquartered in Sarajevo, serving organizations across Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider Western Balkans region. We work across nine technology disciplines. From enterprise hardware and network infrastructure to smart city systems, advanced AV, and managed services. With a single consistent standard: do it properly, say what you think, and stand behind the outcome.

Our Story

Zerick was formally established in 2017. But the knowledge base the company is built on did not begin there.

The technical foundation of Zerick stretches back to the early days of commercial computing. To a period when technology was less forgiving, documentation was everything, and understanding a system meant understanding it completely. The people who built this company came up through that environment. They learned technology when learning it required genuine depth, not surface familiarity with an interface someone else designed.

That history shapes how we work today. We approach infrastructure the way engineers from that era approached it – methodically, with attention to the physical and logical layers simultaneously, with documentation treated as part of the deliverable rather than an afterthought. The tools have changed dramatically. The discipline has not.

When Zerick was established, the intent was not to build another reseller or a generalist IT support company. It was to build a partner, a firm with enough breadth to see the full picture of a client’s environment and enough depth in each domain to deliver properly across all of it. That ambition is what shaped the nine service areas we operate across today, and what drives the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.

Over the years we have delivered infrastructure for government institutions, banking sector organizations, automotive industry operations, municipalities, cultural facilities, and businesses of every scale across the region. Each engagement has added to a knowledge base that compounds. Every environment we have assessed, every system we have integrated, every failure we have diagnosed and resolved makes the next engagement sharper.

Accountable for the long term.

How We Work

Our industry has a well-developed vocabulary for avoiding difficult conversations. Scope that expands without explanation. Recommendations shaped by margin rather than requirement. Assessments that confirm what the client wants to hear rather than what the environment actually shows.

Zerick operates differently. If an assessment reveals that what a client is planning will not work, we say so – before the project starts, not after it fails. If a less expensive option will meet the requirements as well as a premium one, we recommend it. If we are not the right partner for a particular project, we will tell a client that too.

This is not a noble sacrifice. It is the only basis on which a long-term relationship can be built. Clients who trust that Zerick’s recommendations are honest and not shaped by what generates the best outcome for Zerick – are clients who come back, who expand the relationship, and who refer others. That is the kind of growth we want.

There is consistent pressure in tech projects to move faster: to compress the assessment phase, to skip the testing, to hand over before everything is fully documented because the deadline is tomorrow and close enough is good enough.

Zerick does not operate that way. Not because we are indifferent to timelines; we understand that infrastructure projects have real operational dependencies and that delays have real costs. But because the shortcuts that make a project deliver faster almost always create problems that take longer to fix than the time they saved.

We build realistic timelines and we hold to them. What we do not do is sacrifice the quality of the outcome to recover time that was lost elsewhere. If a project takes longer than planned because something was discovered during implementation that needed to be addressed properly – we address it properly. The client gets a system that works, not a system that was delivered on schedule.

Quality is not a differentiator we claim. It is a constraint we operate within. Every time.

The tech industry tends toward transactional relationships. A project closes, a new project begins somewhere else, and the previous client is left to manage what was delivered. Zerick is built around a different model.

Most of our client relationships extend well beyond the initial project. The organization that engaged us for a server room buildout becomes the client we support through a network redesign three years later and a smart city pilot the year after that. That continuity is not accidental – it is the result of treating every engagement as the foundation of a relationship rather than a transaction to be completed.

It also produces better technical outcomes. When the team that designed and deployed an environment is also the team maintaining it, the quality of both the deployment and the maintenance is higher. There is no knowledge gap, no period of a new provider learning what was built, no incentive to cut corners that someone else will have to live with.

What We Believe

Infrastructure is not a cost center. It is a foundation.

Organizations that treat technology as an expense to be minimized tend to discover its importance at the worst possible moment – when a server fails, when a network goes down, when a backup turns out not to have been working. Zerick works with clients who understand that the right infrastructure investment, made properly, costs less over time than the wrong one made cheaply.

Accountability should not be distributed across twelve partners.

The more vendors and subcontractors involved in a project environment, the more diffused the accountability becomes. Zerick’s breadth exists precisely to reduce that diffusion – to give clients a single partner who understands the full environment and is accountable for it working as a whole.

Honesty about limitations is a form of competence.

We know what we know deeply. We do not offer opinions on domains where we lack implementation experience. We do not recommend solutions we have not worked with directly. In a field where confident-sounding advice is easy to produce and difficult to evaluate, that discipline matters.

Technology should serve the people using it.

Systems that require specialist knowledge to operate on a daily basis have not been designed properly. The measure of a good deployment is not whether it works when the engineers are present – it is whether it works reliably for the people responsible for it afterward.

Our Mission & Our Vision

To be the partner that organizations in this region can build on – not just for a project, but for the long arc of their technological development. To bring the depth of experience and the breadth of capability that removes the need for multiple specialist partners. To give clients infrastructure they understand, documentation they can use, and a relationship they can trust.

A regional landscape where organizations, from city administrations to growing businesses to public institutions, have access to the quality of partnership that has historically been available only to the largest enterprises. Where infrastructure is treated as the serious discipline it is. Where the gap between what vendors promise and what gets delivered is closed by partners who are accountable for both.

Closing Line

Zerick is not the company that will tell you what you want to hear and deliver whatever is easiest. We are the company that will tell you what we actually think, build what was actually specified, and be available when what we built needs attention.

If that sounds like the kind of partner you’ve been looking for – let’s talk.

That is a harder way to operate. It is also the only way we are interested in operating.
